Gerry O’Connor USA Spring Tour 2026

Gerry O’Connor USA Spring Tour 2026

I recently completed my USA Spring Tour 2026, travelling across Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, California, Oregon, Washington and Ohio.

It was a very special few weeks of music, connection and shared moments, and I am truly grateful to everyone who made it possible.

Starting on the East Coast

The tour began on the East Coast with Kevin McElroy.

We started in Boston at Boston College, then travelled to Albany, New York, where I performed at the Irish American Heritage Museum. I returned there again the following day, which made it even more meaningful to reconnect with the audience.

From there, we continued to Hartford, Connecticut, before returning to Boston for a performance at the Irish Cultural Centre.

Moving to the West Coast

I then continued the tour with Don Penzien, beginning in San Diego, California at Folk Heritage, followed by San Diego State University.

The journey continued to Monterey with the Celtic Society, then to San Francisco at Plough and Stars.

From there, I travelled to Weaverville with Trinity Arts, and then to McCloud at River Mountain Music.

Oregon and Washington

In Oregon, I performed in Eugene at Tsunami Books, and in Tualatin at Winona Grange.

We then continued into Washington State, with performances in Olympia at Traditions Fair Trade, Seattle, and Mount Vernon with the Celtic Arts Foundation.

Each place had its own character and audience, and I felt a genuine welcome everywhere I went.

A Personal Note

During the tour, I was also recovering from foot surgery. I had to briefly return to Ireland to have stitches removed before continuing.

Despite this, I was able to return and complete the tour, which made the experience even more meaningful.

Final Stop

The tour finished in Dayton, Ohio with the GOStrings Initiative.

It was a fitting way to close a journey that brought together so many people, places and shared experiences.

Thank You

Thank you to everyone who came along, supported the music, organised events, and helped along the way.

Your support means a great deal, and I look forward to returning again in the future.
