GO Strings Initiative is an educational performance concept developed by 

Gerry O’Connor and Hillary Wagner. Their goal is to invite classically trained players of bowed string instruments to perform authentic traditional Irish fiddle music. 

Starting from the classical strengths of strong reading and quick adaptation, GO Strings provides clearly written scores paired with original audio video samples performed by Gerry O’Connor and GO Quintet, a private pre-program video fiddle lesson with Gerry for the teacher, and includes complete lesson plans for every tune in the concert program, bridging the gap to this cherished, world-favourite, fiddle custom.
