 , Quintet\, or Orchestra. This program is designed to share the elegant bea
 uty & driving energy of the Irish fiddle tradition with orchestra programs 
 in high schools and colleges\, as well as with smaller performing string en
 sembles. Tonight's GO Strings ensemble is Hillary Wagner\, Jennifer Eyink\,
  Lois Ramey\, and Anna Bumiller Bowman.\nGerry grew up in Dundalk\, County 
 Louth\, in a family of musicians. His mother\, Rose\, taught fiddle in thei
 r home for 40 years. Gerry's musical history starts with winning All-Irelan
 d titles in the late 60s-'70s\, travels through playing with master of Slig
 o fiddle player John Joe Gardiner\, and touring & recording with members of
  Planxty\, Bothy Band\, De Dannan\, Boys of the Lough\, and the Chieftains.
  Today\, Gerry tours with The Irish Rovers. As a soloist\, he performs\, te
 aches\, & lectures all over the world. He and his music show no signs of sl
 owing down!
